It is important for all staff to have pride in their workplace, as we continuously strive to become a sustainable tourism business.

Our current policies include:

• Walk the talk of New Zealand's 100% pure campaign.
• Hold monthly meetings involving all staff, where ideas are encouraged on ways to decrease our environmental impact.
• Investigate and research all ideas generated by staff and ensure ongoing environmental performance.
• Implement all viable sustainability initiatives.
• Record and monitor environmental impacts, submitting annual data reports and examine trends.
• Comply with Qualmark assessments with an aim to maintain or improve current standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment for both staff and visitors, adhering to a strict Health and Safety Policy.
• To employ local contractors and purchase from local suppliers wherever possible.
• To seek out and find alternative products that are biodegradable and/or environmentally friendly, and use only NZ made products unless absolutely necessary.
• Contribute to visitor education on environmental and cultural issues.
• Encourage visitors to recycle waste by implementing recycling station's and signage on site.
• Become involved in community conservation action and raise funds for local charities, with environmental preservation in mind.
